BUCKET LIST: ONE LIFETIME & MANY DREAMS

Bucket List Winter

Blog post by the guest blogger and agency consultant, AZASSISTENTEVIRTUALE.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

MY STORY

Usually in the morning I wake up early, I make myself a herbal tea and then wrapped in the silence, which reigns just for a little while, I take an hour for myself. I often take my notebook in my hands where ‘Bucket List’ is written on the first page.

For me it is a very intimate list which I usually don’t show to anyone (I know that some people like to share their dreams with family or friends giving themselves an extra motivation but for me it doesn’t work). I like to browse it often, update it with the various steps in order to achieve my goals and rejoice in those already achieved. I am a person with thousand ideas and many projects to be implemented. Each of us grows, learns and changes. Precisely for this reason my Bucket List is very flexible and constantly updated. One thing is certain, putting down all my dreams has allowed me to give a correct order to all my desires. Otherwise they would have never seen the light of the sun, giving me an extra motivation to be able to achieve them.

If you can dream it, you can do it.

BUCKET LIST IN PRACTICE:

? Place – determine where you will write your Bucket List. Some prefer a nice notebook while others opt for an application on the phone.
? Brain storming – put down on the paper or on the PC all the dreams you would like to realize. Don’t worry about any limits, free your imagination and transcribe everything.
? Add deadlines – it’s a very important step especially if your list is very long. For example: till the end of the year I want to lose 5 kilos or by 2025 I will go to New York. This way your goals will seem closer to you.
? Identify the top 3 – look at all your dreams and try to understand which ones you could complete faster or which ones are easier to carry on.
? Ongoing updates – the Bucket List is an infinite list. In ongoing updates you can make changes, add dreams or underline those already achieved.
? Be flexible – the wish-list does not have to become an obsession. It may happen that for some dreams it will take longer than you have established or that some projects will become less important. Remember that contingencies are part of our lives.
